Mad Fox Construction – Floor Reinforcement

Restoration East started the floor reinforcement work today, our first official construction phase. Below the Mad Fox space is our enormous 326 space underground retail parking garage. In order to support the brewhouse, 6 30-barrel of fermenters (5,580 gallons) and 6 15-barrel serving tanks (2,790 gallons) we need to increase the load bearing capability of the reinforced concrete slab flooring. The contractor is cutting out the existing concrete from around the steel reinforcing and adding extra reinforcing before pouring fresh concrete back to create a new super strong floor.

It took a lot of analyses, planning and design to get to the point where we have our construction permit and begin construction. The careful planning will pay off in reduced costs and increased brewing capacity. Construction should move briskly and we’ll be enjoying beer this spring!
