Location & Directions

Mad Fox Brewing Company is located at 444 West Broad Street Suite I, Falls Church, VA 22046 (map). There are entrances on West Broad Street/Route 7 and Pennsylvania Avenue to our free underground 326-space parking garage.

By Car – We are directly on the main road that connects Leesburg and Alexandria – Leesburg Pike. In the City of Falls Church this is also our main street and is named Broad Street within the City. We are SouthEast of the I-66/Route 7 intersection and NorthWest of the the Route 29 (Lee Highway/Washington Street)/Route 7 intersection.

Here are some hints on avoiding traffic by taking back roads. Drive safely, there are lots of bikers, walkers and kids playing in our surrounding neighborhoods.

  • From the North – Tysons/McLean – take Great Falls Street South from the Route 123 intersection (map). Turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue (very small street) right after the W&OD Bike Trail (Yield to Bikers!).
  • From the East – Arlington – take North Washington Boulevard to Fairfax Drive/Lincoln Avenue. Turn left onto Great Falls Street and take your first right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Yield to bikers as you cross the W&OD Bike Trail.
  • From the South – It’s hard to avoid Seven Corners, but Sleepy Hollow Road is a good option.
  • From the West – Shreve Road and West Street are good options from the Merrifield area.

Bicycle – We are two blocks from the intersection of the W&OD Bike Trail and Great Falls Street. From the bike trail, go South on Great Falls Street and make your first right onto Pennsylvania Avenue (map). We are two blocks down on your right, after the intersection with Park Avenue. There are bike racks available.

Public Transportation – You can walk or take a bus from both the East Falls Church and West Falls Church Metro stations. The best bet for walking is along the W&OD Trail from East Falls Church Metro station (map). From East Falls Church Metro station you can take the 3A and 3B buses Westbound. From West Falls Church Metro station you can take the 3B bus Eastbound. Current bus schedules are available on the WMATA bus schedule page. Bus schedules vary by weekday/weekend.

  2. We plan to do our part to make your venture a success!

  3. Looking forward to a quality craft brewpub (not a chain) since Bardo left. Please keep in mind the potential customers that are over 30 (i.e., if it’s kid-friendly we will likely visit more often and come for dinner, not just happy hour).

  4. I’m a Falls Church City resident who is very excited for your opening.

  5. Very excited about walking to your pub!

  6. […] and caramel/toffee flavors. We look forward to getting this beer at Bill Madden’s new brewpub in Falls Church instead of having to drive all the way out to Vintage 50 Restaurant in […]

  10. any updates on what is going on with this location? it appears no progress has been made in months!

  11. Is the target opening date still 1st QTR 2010, or is it goinmg to slip some? (from an old Founder’s fan too lazy to go to Leesburg)

  12. I just moved in the Condos at the Spectrum – and having a brew pub just outside my front door was a big plus when i made an offer! Hurry up and open, I am thirsty!

  13. So looking forward to this! Will there be bike racks? Please tell us there will be bike racks!

    • The bike racks were in place before we signed the lease. We’re two blocks from the W&OD trail, where it crosses Great Falls Street! We’ll have cycling directions up when we open.

  14. Just drove by yesterday after work and was super pumped to see what was coming! Can’t wait.

  15. So THIS is why I haven’t ‘seen’ RickG on VIOL lately! Eagerly awaiting the opening.

  16. Any chance you’ll have cider on tap? We’ve also recently moved and are anxiously awaiting your grand opening! 🙂

    • We love hard cider and make it at home… but, you need a winery license to make hard cider and that is very difficult for us. We would love to feature great bottled artisanal cider and love the products from Foggy Ridge Cider and Albemarle Ciderworks. Our favorite place to buy excellent hard cider friendly juice is from Rob Miller at Distillery Lane Ciderworks in Maryland. Cheers!

  17. YAY! Almost here!

  18. Yippee! I’m so excited for you; can’t wait to check out your new digs.

    Eagerly awaiting your Kollsch!

    • Rick, we have 326 spaces in our free parking garage. You can enter from Rt. 7/West Broad Street or Pennsylvania Ave. We look forward to your visit, Cheers!

  20. Can’t wait to sample your brews and fine fare! I’ve enjoyed your brews at each of your previous locations but I’m really psyched that you’re now much closer! Any thoughts about selling/leasing dedicated mugs for your regulars?

  21. Bill,

Loved Bardo and now live near CapCity in Shirlington. Look forward to venturing over to your new digs. Great for you and great for Falls Church.

  22. just came in this evening.. fabulous !! welcome and glad you are here!

  23. I am ready for the Mad Fox, very ready.
When the SO spotted this place on the Zagat Buzz new openings, she showed it to me right away since it said that you had a “serious wine list” and wine is what she drinks while I do the beers.
No mention of wine is found on this website.

  24. Our Beer Tasting Club had a field trip to Mad Fox last night. We were super pleased with the beer, food and service. And thanks for the special brewery tour. You all couldn’t have been nicer.

  25. LOVE that you included bicycling directions to remind folks to yield to cyclists. Tonight is my first visit but I love your restaurant already! Thank you!
